About Odin

Odin lets you invest in startups and funds via SPV’s (special purpose vehicles) that are set up specifically to make these kinds of investments. You can invest from as little as $1,000. You can find out more about what an SPV is here.

  • People are able to lead syndicates (groups) of investors and charge carried interest (a success fee in the form of a share of profits) and deal fees to participants.

  • Founders can also use odin structures to set up SPV’s and invite people to contribute smaller cheques to their funding round.

  • You can currently invest in GBP, EUR, USD or almost any other mainstream currency.

We are a UK based, FCA regulated investment platform. All our SPV structures are based in the UK and are fully tax-transparent. You can claim S/EIS tax relief if you're a UK investor, and if you're in the US you will not be subject to any withholding, since we comply with FATCA and PFIC reporting.

We launched in August 2021, and have since helped over 200 companies to raise over $30 million from angel investors, family offices and VC firms globally. We raised a $1m pre-seed funding round ourselves in 2021, and are now profitable and growing quickly (30% monthly).

How to invest

Investing with Odin is a very simple five step process.

A deal takes about 2-3 weeks on average to complete.

  1. Create your Odin account and agree to our terms.

    The first time you are invited to invest via Odin, you will need to do the following:

    • Agree to our terms, confirm you are a sophisticated / accredited investor as per UK and your local market regulation

    • Create an account by entering a password

  2. Make your commitment and complete KYC (know your customer) checks, then wire funds to our designated bank account.

  3. Once all payments for the deal have been collected, investment documents are signed and funds are wired to the investee company / fund.

  4. Within 2 weeks post-close we issue a set of documents to you, including a certificate of beneficial ownership which details your investment, fees, carried interest payable, etc.

  5. S/EIS certificates for qualifying UK investors are issued within 3 months after each deal closes. US investors receive the necessary documents for their IRS filings once per year.

After you invest

  • You will be able to track your portfolio via the “portfolio view” on the Odin platform.

  • You will receive reports from the investee company or syndicate lead according to the reporting schedule outlined on the deal page.
